5th & 6th grade

Hope Smith

My number one goal  as a teacher is motivating students to be life-long learners and teach them life skills they can incorporate and apply to real life situations. I believe in teaching cooperative learning and good character skills and rewarding students for modeling such behavior.
I encourage my students to be active participants in their community with the understanding that they are never too young or old to make a positive difference.

I promise to dedicate myself to being a positive role model in and out of the classroom. I believe it is important to create and manage a safe learning environment that engages students and provides optimal opportunities for them to demonstrate their learning.

Sue Grulke

Welcome to 5th/6th Grade.  My name is Sue Grulke and I teach Mathematics, Social Studies and Writing in the afternoon at Immanuel Lutheran School.  In our classroom students are encouraged to participate and learn in a Christ-centered environment. While we follow the Michigan State Academic Standards, this is done in a safe and healthy classroom.  Students are encouraged to be responsible for their education through daily learning targets and positive reinforcement systems. We strive to assist all of our students in reaching their potential and being prepared for their future.
